  • Where is Logging Camp Cabins located?
    Logging Camp is located in northwest Montana, half-way between Libby and Kalispell, in the Thompson-Chain-of-Lakes area; the Happy’s Inn historical stopping point is just 2 minutes away.
  • Do you accept pets?
    We do allow dogs, however…doggies, please train your humans to pick up your waste and dispose of properly. Also, if your pet barks, they may not be tied up outside and pets must be on leash while on the property to prevent excited chasing of wildlife.
  • Are there places to eat near the cabins?
    Happy’s Inn is only 2 minutes away (to the west) and has a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, year-round.
  • Is there a store near the cabins?
    Happy’s Inn, also, has a basic store (eggs, milk, canned goods, etc.) and bar.
  • Do you have WiFi?
    Logging Camp is in a remote area in Montana, however we do provide WiFi through Starlink; please see WiFi access information in your cabin welcome book.
  • Is there cell service?
    No; Logging Camp is in a special place where wilderness abounds, there is no cell service, however we do have WiFi in each cabin for cellphone use.
  • Is there A/C?
    Yes, all cabins are well-designed with air conditioning and heating for comfort and ease.
  • Are we allowed to grill? Is there grilling equipment?
    Yes; there are individual propane grills and basic equipment, on each cabin deck.
  • Do we need 4-wheel-drive to access?
    No, access is off of a County road and then via a private, well-maintained, dirt/gravel road to the cabins.
  • Is there satellite TV?
    There are televisions in each of the cabins, equipped with a ROKU stick; you may use your personal account to access multiple apps (Netflix, Prime, YouTube, HBO, etc.)
  • Do you accept checks?
    Credit and Debit cards only; see booking tab for details
  • When is check-in and check-out?
    Check-in time is after 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.
  • Do you allow smoking in the cabins?
    Smoking is not allowed in the cabins nor anywhere on the property; we are in a forested setting and fires are common – please respect the no- smoking policy.
  • What is there to do near the Logging Camp Cabins?
    The Thompson Chain-of-Lakes area is an exciting natural wonderland with dozens of lakes, trails and dirt roads for fishing, boating, swimming, hunting, 4-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking, huckleberry/morel picking. In addition, just a mile away is Happy’s Inn with a robust summer music concert schedule, winter fishing tournaments and the Cabinet Wilderness trails are within a short driving distance.
  • Can we swim in the lake?
    Yes! And the swimming is amazing…the lake is relatively warm in the summer/early fall and we have a built-in ladder on the dock to make getting out of the water easy.
  • Can we hunt on the land?
    No, for the safety of you, your family and the other adventure guests, hunting is not allowed on the property.
  • Do you have nightly minimums?
    Yes, 2 night minimums – see booking tab for details.
  • May we have a campfire?
    No, no campfires are allowed anywhere on the property due to the high wildfire potential.
  • May we bring our own camper/trailer/RV/tent?
    No, the use of any recreational vehicle, including 4-wheelers/side-by- sides/dirt bikes etc., is prohibited. The only sleeping/cooking use on property is in the rental cabins. Please, contact us if you have the need to park your recreational vehicles, including trailers, on the property during your stay.
  • How far are the cabins from Glacier National Park?
    1 ½ hours/80 miles
